In Memoriam
Mitchell Chetel
Program Note
Mitchell Chetel was my colleague at Kingsborough Community College (CUNY) from 1980 until his sudden death at age 70 in 1987. This brief piece was written for a memorial celebration of his life. The instrumental parts are uncomplicated and open, and the music is a simple yet powerful statement of loss.
