Texts

Springtime

Across the far golden day flower open their eyes
And the birds once again fill the vast April skies
Where a young girl and a boy in the same way as you
Wonder how things can be very suddenly new
And how the sun sails out like a yellow kite
behind the white clouds walking lazy along the sky
as if a magic spell can tell the Earth to shine
an enchanted wonderland of springtime.
And to a girl and a man hadn’t love always come
in the same way as spring where before there was none.

Summer

Oh the days of summer the quiet of a summer afternoon
daisies grow in the meadow, the robin’s singing slightly out of tune
And the days are endless as the sea would seem to be
as endless as a summer daydream
Songs sing in the distance, a concert in the park
One lilac day, the lovely breeze through the oak trees
a butterfly dances just a breath away
and the days are endless as the sea would seem to be
as endless as the summer day dream
as endless as every other day dream of summer

Autumn Song

Now an Autumn day. Now another season is in
the winds whisper low singing us her song
telling us the reasons which hide
in times that come and times that go.
And how the leaves change their color
and come tumbling, tumbling down.
The winds grow colder and blow around and around.
Now the sky is dark early in the evening.
A day a-go the sun was bright
Now the birds begin just as they have promised
to fly away beyond the Autumn night.
And how the leaves change their color
and come tumbling, tumbling down
The winds grow colder and blow around and around
Come along and sing your Autumn Song.

Winter

Some days fast within a silken web of time
a silent world rests as if forever left behind.
And beneath a frosted sky
where snow birds fly and circle round
its Winter
And some days fast within a sudden fall of snow
a silent world sleeps in places only robins know
not an ordinary thing where snow birds sing
without a sound
it’s Winter
Winter leaves its magic kingdom
as it walks in on whistling air
Winter blinks it lovely eyes and covers the earth everywhere
Some days fast within an icy silver rind,
a silent world, rather of a strange enchanted kind
And as peaceful as a dream where
snow birds seem to want to stay
each silken day of winter.
Winter leaves its magic kingdom as it walks in on whistling air
Winter blinks its lovely eyes and covers earth everywhere.
