David takes a trip to Abilene, TX, to work with Steven Ward and the Abilene Christian University Bands in preparation for their concert on April 22.

The Montana State University Wind Symphony, led by Dr. Nathan Stark, and featuring faculty members of MSU, will present a concert of David's music on January 28th in Bozeman, MT. In preparation for the concert, David will coach members of the MSU Wind Symphony, participate in a Q&A for an audience of Music majors, and work with band students at to a local high school.
The Tarleton State University Bands, led by Dr. Anthony Pursell, host David for a visit to Texas in late February. David will work with Music students at Tarleton as well as visiting students from local schools. The Tarleton Bands will present a concert featuring David's music on February 28 at 7:30pm.

Matthew will appear as featured guest clinician with the Texas A&M–Commerce Wind Ensemble, led by Phillip Clements, at the 2018 Texas Music Educators Association convention in San Antonio, Texas. They will perform David Maslanka's Symphony No. 2.

Their wind ensemble recently performed the work at the Arizona Music Educators Association Conference, and previously performed Maslanka's "Give Us This Day" in 2016.

Tucson Wind Symphony (TWS) is a select ensemble dedicated to professional level performance of high-quality wind band art music, promoting lifelong participation in music by giving a diverse group of advanced instrumentalists the opportunity to play the most esteemed repertoire for wind band. Stephen K. Steele will conduct the TWS in its inaugural performance Wednesday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Crowder Hall, located in the University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music. There is no admission charge. The TWS will honor David’s memory, performing his In Memoriam and Golden Light in the first half of the concert and premiering Symphony No. 10 following intermission.

Marsit leads student and select community musicians through an exciting array of repertoire for the wind ensemble, from the 19th century to today, including many world premieres. The ensemble’s inventive thematic programming is often coupled with educational components and projects to engage young musicians and audiences alike.
