Program Note

“Arcadia” is the fabled origin place of the human race, the “Garden of Eden,” an idyllic and bucolic setting of peace and plenty. It is our fervent wish in this troubled time to find our way back! The cello parts are demanding, but the effect of the music is one of evocative tranquility.
