University of Arkansas Bands

Faulkner Performing Arts Center 1 University of Arkansas, Fayetteville

U of A Bands will hold a final concert of the fall 2024 season at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25, in the Faulkner Performing Arts Center.  The Wind Symphony is under the direction of assistant director of bands Chase Jones, assistant director of bands Christopher Agwu, and graduate conductor Cy Curtis. They will be performing David's work Mother Earth to kick off the program.

Cal Poly Wind Orchestra, Wind Ensemble & Alumni Concert Band

From Cal Poly: "The Wind Orchestra and Wind Ensemble present a program (All Hail, Green and Gold!) that includes the return of over 70 of our Cal Poly alumni musicians. First assembled in 2016, the Alumni Symphonic Band is comprised of Cal Poly students spanning the decades. Works programmed for this concert will include David Maslanka's A Child's Garden of Dreams."

Annual Concert of National Taipei University Alumni Band

KHS Hall Taipei No 162, Chungshan 2nd Road, New Taipei City

The concert will feature David Maslanka's piece "Illumination" and his later work "The Seeker". This will mark the first public performance of "The Seeker" in Taiwan. Taking “The Seeker” as the central concept, the theme of "tracing light" will be prominent, culminating in a performance of the Copland Clarinet Concerto with Jun-Yen Lai, Associate Principal Clarinetist of the National Symphony Orchestra.
