Cornell University, Ithaca High School, and David Maslanka

March 16 - 19

The Cornell Wind Symphony (CU Winds) welcomes guest composer David Maslanka. One of today’s most important composers for winds, Mr. Maslanka’s catalog of 150 works includes forty pieces for wind ensemble, including nine symphonies, fifteen concertos, a Mass, and numerous chamber works. Mr. Maslanka’s activities will include open rehearsals, presentations to Cornell undergraduate students and the Cornell Composers’ Forum, and a joint performance of his music by the Cornell Wind Symphony and the Ithaca High School Wind Ensemble.
